William Elmore, a seasoned entrepreneur and dedicated community leader, brings extensive professional acumen to Elmore Builders. With over 30 years in real estate and 25 years as a general contractor, he has mastered every aspect of home construction, from new builds to renovations, for both residential and commercial projects.
William’s leadership extends to his role as Mayor of Dunn, NC, and Director of prestigious organizations like the Downtown Dunn Development Corporation and the Dunn Committee of 100. He is also a founding member and Director of the I-95 / I-40 Crossroads of America Economic Development Alliance, which is driving significant investment and job opportunities in the region.
Deeply invested in giving back to his community, William has dedicated significant time to revitalizing neighborhoods, supporting local nonprofits, and spearheading economic development initiatives. His goal is always to enhance the quality of life for those around him, driven by a desire to create a better world for the next generation.

Billy is the dynamic visionary behind Elmore Builders, and with a career spanning over two decades in the building industry, he brings a wealth of experience to his role.
Since graduating with a Bachelor’s in Business from UNC Wilmington in 2005, Billy has immersed himself in home construction, being involved in building over 1400 houses in various sizes and styles, from the mountains to the coast of NC. With key roles such as Senior Project Manager and Director of Building Operations for a national builder, his leadership doubled business volume and earned prestigious awards. Billy’s background working with both small and national builders has given him a sophisticated grasp of construction techniques and management strategies, and he skillfully infuses the best of it into Elmore Builders.
With experience in both real estate and new home sales, Billy has a unique perspective that distinguishes him as a builder. This enables him to accurately assess property value and prioritize clients’ long-term goals, ensuring superior craftsmanship, meticulous planning, and flawless execution in every project.
Billy’s reputation as a respected leader in the field has earned him a place on industry panels, such as the Wilmington Business Journal’s builder panel, and Architectural Review Boards, which ensure community adherence to standards and quality.
